TERMINOLOGY
An evacuated tube is a form of solar collector made from glass which heats up solar absorbers and solar working fluid for use in applications that require heat. The vacuum within the evacuated tube reduces convection and conduction heat losses, allowing them to reach temperatures as high 160 degrees centigrade.
