Installation of flexible glass mirrors concluded

The DiGeSPo team has just installed the newly designed low cost and ultra-thin (< 1 mm) glass mirrors (compared to 4 mm in standard CSP trough collectors). These mirrors have been chemically treated to provide flexibility at ambient temperature, with a multi-layered structure of silver for reflection and protection of the coatings. These have now replaced the previously installed plastic mirrors and thermal capture results suggest that performance has been substantially increased.
