Testing of the modified Stirling engine starts in Malta

Following extensive and satisfactory standard Stirling tests at FBK in Italy, with a proxy heating circuit using the thermal vector fluid and a simple gas-fired heater to heat the fluid up to maximum expected operating temperature of 350oC, we are happy to announce that the Stirling engine is now in Malta for the final integration with the CSP arrays. Extensive testing and data collection has started in-situ within a live environment. To see images of the Stirling engine visit our gallery.
